This blog is a great addition to the New England Learning community, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it grows. Its also a good example of the way blended learning should work: start with pre-learning and community-building before an in-person event (include assessments for the instructor to guage the community’s knowledge–something like Saul’s list, if folks post their answers in comments). Then, after the event, the community continues the discussion online at full boil; in blended learning the concepts from the class can be revisited in a reference format or follow-up modules online, so you don’t forget what you learned–or so you can build on what you started at the meeting or in the class.
